Sniff Out
How YPG Came To Be:
We have 2 dogs - a yellow Labrador retriever named Bailey and a black lab mix named Bella. Bailey and Bella LOVE to swim and enjoy the lake near their grandparents' house. They love it so much, they don't ever want to leave the lake! Road trips to the lake always required bringing towels and tote bags to bring their treats, water toys, "pick up" bags, etc., for the best adventure possible.
Undoubtedly, after their swim they were drenched and sometimes even muddy from their romping and playing. Not finding any towels or totes in our local pet warehouses, we used the beach towels and water resistant totes that I had gotten while an assistant buyer in cosmetics. These worked so well, we started giving some of the bags to friends for when they traveled with their dogs. The more we used the bags, we realized the need for more pockets and greater durability as they started to fall apart. And thus, we decided to design a durable bag to best meet our needs so we could stay organized...very much like a diaper bag for dogs.
Even when our first dog, Bailey, was a puppy, we needed to bring a tote with us wherever he went because he would undoubtedly have an "accident", so we would bring: odor & stain remover; paper towels; pick up bags; training treats and a couple chew toys. And if we were going on a road trip? Forget about it! That required a weekender bag for all the 'normal' necessities, plus food, water, bowls, vitamins and more! Our friends started to call it the 'Yuppie Puppy Bag.' Then they started to use the bags themselves for their own dogs! And thus Yuppie Puppy Gear was born.
We are proud to provide dog parents everywhere with the highest quality, durable products to make their lives easier while allowing them to maximize the quality time they spend with their dog. Happy trails!

- aid the ASPCA to reduce the number of dogs in need and to help eradicate puppy mills
- partner with other pet suppliers who are helping to improve the lives our four-legged children

Helping Those Who Do Not Have a Voice:
Yuppie Puppy Gear is a proud supporter of the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). 5% of ALL proceeds/sales benefit the ASPCA. Donations are given to the ASPCA on a monthly basis in order to help expedite the funds to this organization.
As We Grow:
Yuppie Puppy Gear hopes to increase its level of help to the canine community by:
- Donating a portion of its proceeds/sales to service dog groups
- Increasing its donations to the ASPCA from 5% to 8% of its proceeds
- Advocating for canine groups who need to raise the level of awareness of their cause
